Nik Colk Void, Loula Yorke, Lila Tirando a Violeta & Sin Maldita, Ana Quiroga
Marking the second anniversary of her album ‘Azabache‘ on Houndstooth, Ana Quiroga returns with ‘Azabache Remixes’, a reimagining of the record’s rich sonic universe through the lenses of celebrated voices in experimental music.
The release features reinterpretations from Nik Colk Void, Lila Tirando a Violeta & Sin Maldita, and Loula Yorke, alongside a remix by Ana herself.
Each artist brings their own voice, expanding on ‘Azabache’’s themes of ancestral memory, mysticism, and transformation, while opening new portals into its textures and energies.
The artwork created by Estela Oliva is an evolution of her original cover artwork for ‘Azabache’, developed using 3D scanning and is now transformed through generative art processes into a fluid digital painting.
‘Azabache’ reflects Ana’s deep connection to her homeland, Asturias and her life in London. Drawing on Celtic heritage, pagan traditions and magick, the album bridges ancestral symbolism with contemporary new beginnings.
‘Azabache Remixes’ celebrates the album’s enduring resonance, reshaping it into bold, boundary-pushing soundscapes.
